My body needs the Kings to take MPJ. That would make 3-6 so interesting. Teams would be all kinds of on the phone to trade up if that happens.

I also think depending on how the draft plays out, there are certainly big named players who could be moved. Kemba, Kawhi, etc could all move.

Also beat Boston but hey ok

I mean... it’s the east. Cavs don’t even get out Rd 1 in West. They lose to your Utah’s, minnys. Blazers. Etc etc.

The West is not some juggernaut anymore.

Maybe 3-4 years ago yes but not now.

There are two teams in the West. Outside of them, Cavs beat all of them.

All those teams woulda beat them imo. Prob in less than 7 tbt. Cavs were garbage. Warriors sweep prop bet was the easiest one I made all year.

Y’all watching the Game 6 of the ‘98 Finals on ESPN2? This is my first recollection of watching basketball as a kid (I was 8). Nice little nostalgia trip

T to tell you the truth I wouldn’t be even a little surprised if every single West playoff team woulda beat the Cavs in a playoff series.i woulda had just about all of them favoured. The very pedestrian pacers pushed them to 7. And then the Celtics puppies these guys ain’t been in the league but two three years gave them all they wanted. the raps coulda beat more west teams than Cavs. Raps just folded up v Cavs. They beat themselves mentally.

Yeah I was saying the same thing going into the postseason. Cavs just were not all that this year.

Agreed. Raptors are the most mentally weak team I've ever seen. A team that should be contending. Should be good. And just can't get past their own mental block. Kinda sad for their franchise.

Boston would have been fine if only one of their stars was hurt. Both was putting too much on their young guys. And they still almost came through. That's a good group right there.

Is that some kind of knock on the West that the best team in the East couldn’t even come close to beating the top 2 in the West?

I don’t think they beat the Spurs with Kawhi Leonard healthy either. And I’m not even confident they beat the Jazz.

If you want to know how lopsided the two leagues are, look at the top players in the NBA and where they play:

LeBron
Durant
Harden
Curry
Kawhi
Westbrook
AD
Giannis
Butler
CP3
Draymond
Towns
Thompson
Kyrie
Wall
Paul George
Cousins
Lillard
Embiid
Aldridge

That’s 15 in the West and 5 in the East.

And you could say 8 of the top 10 are in the West.

The only two who went from the East to the West are Jimmy Butler and Paul George... and both were traded.

They couldn't come close to beating the Warriors. I don't know about Houston. But I guess we'll never know since Houston couldn't get out of the West.

GSW and Houston are the elite teams in the West.

West is deeper than the East but I certainly don't feel like any of the other teams are particularly strong. You put Celtics vs Blazers, I take Celtics. You give me Raptors vs OKC, I probably take Raptors. Give me 76ers vs Jazz, probably Jazz but that's 6-7 game series either way.

Bit of a stretch to say they weren't close when it took some questionable officiating to get game 1 to OT

Also, without cp3 Houston gets swept.
