Seacocks smarted themselves out of a TD
From a Niner fan, just run it against this defense

The play on first down was open. Not sure what Darnold was doing. But yeah just pound the ball 4 times if you have to

Just don’t over complicate things.

There is absolutely no reason on earth to go for it in that situation. Maybe if the ball was on the one or two yard line but it is the first drive of the game. Take the damn points you overaggressive moronic coaches.

why go for it?
numbers say teams score when starting inside their own five way way way less than they do starting from a touchback, so odds are your punishment for not getting it will still be you having the ball back 0-0

how old are you? 12?

On that first down play there was a LB or DB that was playing off the RB that was trying to sucker Darnold into throwing that so he could jump the route. If Darnold had thrown that it would have been a 99 yard pick six.

Obvious block in the back near the returner, but SF ends up with the only penalty.

Yeah but I know it’s 99% going to be 3-0 if I kick the field goal. Had it been from the one or even two yard line, I can see it.

The RB was wide open on that first down play. Unless Darold throws it 5 yards behind him, no 49’er is getting near it.

SF Run D was embarrassing there

My word I think half this board could’ve gone 20 yards on that play

Comes down to Saints-Falcons just like we all expected.
Even when it's not Saints/Falcons, it's always about Saints/Falcons.

If you watched either of their past two games against the Colts or Bears, that's just how they are right now. Backups, rookies and third stringers at most positions, especially in the middle.
