It's usually pretty easy to tell that part. The biggest issue with the QB slide is doing it so late on purpose to draw a penalty.

I don’t think the officials have been that bad tbh. I think a lot of weird rules have been exposed though.
I mean the balls dead the second you touch it as the kicking team why the hell should it matter where he slid to?
The no “force out” bit of the receiver running out of bounds rule is also weird to me.

This.
If you’re a gunner and the ball hits you it’s immediately dead, but if you’re sliding it’s not immediately dead it’s only dead when you stop sliding.
That makes no sense.
