Crazy Kraken v. Canucks game… down 4-1 with five minutes left… the Kraken come back, force overtime and win it 5-4.

The Kraken have had a rough go of it lately… this is a huge win for them.

That's insane - unfortunately I don't think the Kraken are a playoff team, just not enough offense. This game seems more of a judgment on Vancouver; something is off with them even beyond Demko's recovery.

I don’t think the Kraken are playoff material this year either. I just want them to play better. You’re right. Offense is the issue.

I just learned that today’s comeback win was only the third time in NHL history that a team overcame a 3 goal deficit in the last five minutes of a game to win it. Damn.

Sid passes Mario for the Penguins all-time assist record tonight with his 1,034th assist.

Just another notch in the belt of one of the top-5 greatest players to ever lace up skates

I don’t think Seattle is a playoff team either.

So what would you change? Move the event to February?

Honestly they should have played it today at the same time as the Texas game. Just be done before the Rose Bowl when all the viewing eyes will switch over to that game

When should it be played in your opinion?

I would have preferred that. But then someone will complain the game conflicts with the college playoffs. I had to work yesterday. So I had to listen on my drive home. If it was today, I could have easily stayed home to watch it. The league is in a no win scenario. Unless they move the event to February, there will always be some football game on. I'm curious what those who complain would do differently.

I’d still play it on New Year’s Day as in past as the only game not buried

But really the biggest mistake was putting StL and Chicago as the teams

Avalanche are getting screwed right now - not that Buffalo 4th goal was interference bc it wasn’t, but bc refs just gave Buffalo a free goal after goalie was injured and didn’t blow play dead. Now Wedgewood is hurt.

It would still get overshadowed by all the bowl games on New Year's Day. But at least everyone would be off to watch that wanted to. This was just the 3rd time the Blues have been selected. They put up a worthy performance. The league is hellbent forcing Bedard down our throat no matter how shitty his team is. I enjoyed watching Golden Knights and Kraken last year, but the ratings weren't good.

Obviously, hopefully Wedge is not out for the long term. I think Bednar simply challenged that for the extra “frick you” to the refs as that absolutely SHOULD have been called dead.

Some puck luck, and the Avs have now won 6 in a row.

Here is a beautiful quote and soon to be fine. Bednar IS that guy.

"The referee said the whistle wasn't blown because we pushed their guy into Wedgewood. I said I don't give a shite."

At his presser when asked about the challenge he said "I was just mad about it, so I did it"

Incredible win, but I'm worried Wedge is out for a while
