I would like to point out that calling someone t-joe does not mean "the joe" as referred to in a previous post. Nowhere in Cajun culture does T mean the. Carry on
Also, nowhere is Cajun culture is it acceptable to dump seasoning and salt on top of crawfish

I saw someone mention in this thread that they should have went with the University of Acadiana. Was this ever actually considered when they changed from USL to UL-L (or at another point in time)? Seems like a cool and unique name to me...

Why add the extra Louisiana to the nickname?
University of Louisiana at Lafayette LOUISIANA Ragin Cajuns....why was it necessary?
Seems "Ragin Cajuns" was sufficient, especially since Louisiana and Lafayette are already in the official school name.
Why the extra reference to Louisiana, T-Hen?

Said it was already in use by a university in Canada. Not sure why that mattered, UL was already in use stateside. Hahahhaha
