People really showing their idiocy trying to blame the refs

Dak started his slide at the 26, the center spotted it at the 24. If anything, the ref should have made them all move backwards two yards.

Has to spot the ball but is a statue the whole play so he’s 30 yards behind the ball with seconds left in a playoff game?

Seems like a great official

I’m not saying that. Have another ref spot the ball. Why the umpire that is literally lined up 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage?

Why can't linemen catch passes? It's the rules of the game.

Lol come on. That’s not the same.

It’s the same dumb logic that an umpire or back judge can’t signal TD, only the side judges 25 yards away.

Talk about injecting yourself into the game

It's literally his main responsibility to spot the ball properly you dumb fricktard.

I mean, are you this stupid?

Yes, it’s the ref’s fault that the Cowboys ran a QB draw to the middle of the field with no timeouts left. If your play depends on the ref sprinting 30 yards and spotting the ball so that you have 1 second left, it’s a fricking stupid play.

Today I learned half the MSB thinks the center is allowed to spot the ball.

The referees did a great job today… they always get hated on, but today they truly had their work cut out for them with Dallas constantly trying to cheat by holding every other play.

Kudos to the refs today for doing the best they could to manage all of that low IQ, pure stupidity. Talk about amateur hour with the players out there today.

Dak was an idiot for trying that but watch the replay. The ref picked the ball up and set it down back a yard. Then picked it up again and set it down in the original spot which burned clock. Dak and the ref were frickin idiots on that play.

Dumb fool?

You are excusing the horrible play calling there and then blame the ref for being totally shocked at the call because he fiddled in the moment? He was running his arse off to get there to give you time in the first place, but the play calling was so stupid he was playing catchup like the rest of us at home to what the heck was going on?

And don't forget with that 1 second you have left to run a play you were trying to spike the ball.

It doesn't work like that.

You really want either wing(LJ or DJ) run from the sideline or the BJ run from 35 yards downfield to spot the ball?
It's literally the U's primary mechanic the entire game to spot the ball off of the wings.

Don't be obtuse

Watch this video starting at :56. The ref sets it too far back then corrects it.

Dak is an idiot and the cause of the frick up but the refs can have down syndrome too.

They legit moved the ball 8 inches just a few moments earlier that paid huge dividends for the Cowboys.

I think people are thinking the only reason the ref ran in was to move the ball because it was in the wrong spot.

He probably could have done a better job but that's still inexcusable game awareness by Dak and Cowboys. Also plenty of other factors for their loss
