I know stats aren't everything, but there were atleast 6-7 proven DE on the board. They picked the guy because he had a good senior bowl.

Senior bowl has been one of the best ways to evaluate talent in recent years. Only real way to see these guys in as close to an NFL setting as possible

I mean who the hell did the Cowboys really overdraft. I meant outside of the top 100 or so guys which is all a jumbled mess, does anyone really have a pulse on these 4th round and later guys? To that extent?
