Kansas St has done everything possible to not win this game.

I mean I think most logical people would say Auburn is a tad bit overrated but let's not get everything twisted here, they are a much more talented football team that K State. There is a solid chance Kansas State doesn't finish the season in the Top 25, they don't have much depth or talent, they win on coaching and hard nosed play.

Exactly.
Winning in Manhatten is never easy. I understand winning on the road in the SEC is never easy either but KSU isn't much different. I was listening to Todd Fuhrman's podcast today and he talked about how on average home teams are given roughly 4 points but for this game he was giving KSU 6 or so.
