Memmel was injured... but her Olympic fate was determined BEFORE the injury. One event only.
Even injured, she still would have performed better than Sacramone, who, though I hate to criticize, was embarassing with the errors she made in team competition.
How do I know this? Watch the Olympic Trials. Memmel blew the doors off the dump. Placed third behind Liukin and Johnson... and she did it... injured.
Sacramone didn't even finish in the top 5 overall in the Trials. And they relied on her that heavily in the Olympics?
I know... I know... it's just chick gymnastics. But it smells of team politics, and I would point it out on any team. Seems unfair for someone who outperformed the other people on the team in direct competition.

Swawn's face, Alicia's body, and Nastia's talent. That would be perfection.

See, like I said, in competition, Alicia's face is great (in ponytail), but otherwise, regular pictures with hair forward, it's just average, so IDK what to think.
ETA: Her body's great all the time, though, obviously.
