in the article, they said there was no disciplinary action behind it.

Anyone giving crap to the Patriots for this is nuts. Their job is to do everything to win the game tomorrow, that's it. If that means cutting Underwood to sign someone else so be it. They clearly think this is in the best interest of the team so they'd be retarded to do anything else.

why not cut him after the AFC championship game? 2 weeks to prepare your roster, and you make a final cut before the superbowl. it makes no sense, it decastro does not play tmrw... then what would you say?

I would then point to the fact Underwood had zero chance of playing tonight too. I would also point him out on the sideline for you, because he's going to be out there, and I would be insanely surprised if he didn't earn a bonus/ring if they win.
You are making a huge deal out of nothing. One of the backup lineman might have tweaked a leg or something.

The sad thing is, they are built for the future too.

Hey stick it up your arse, bud. I have followed the (Boston) Patriots closely since their very first game in the AFL in 1960. By closely, watched on TV or listened on radio to all the games, decades before games could be accessed on sports networks or the internet, Watched them play in person at Fenway Park and Boston University, knew the names of all the players year in and year out, hung with them for many seasons when they were really terrible. Frick you guys who toss the word "bandwagon" at people you don't know jackshit about.

I am assuming you are talking about the old Schaefer Stadium/Foxboro Stadium, which was torn down about 10 years ago and truly was a dump - and not first-class Gillette nor the town of Foxboro itself, which is definitely not a "shithole". The only big negative about the town is the traffic mess.

A lot of people in this thread have no clue how a NFL roster works. This happens every week.

My guess is that they were waiting to see how Gronkowski's ankle was, and when it wasn't as strong as they hoped, they needed someone else to take his place on ST.
What this means is that Gronk will only play offense, and his snaps may be limited.

Despite being waived late Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Tiquan Underwood is entitled to his full Super Bowl bonus.
The bonus is $88,000. Underwood would also receive a ring if the Patriots win. Per Schefter, Underwood was "unlikely to be active" against the Giants in the first place, so he's not losing much. While some media members have tried to make Bill Belichick look like a bad guy for waiving Underwood the day before the Super Bowl, the reality is Belichick is intent on winning, and the Giants could have claimed Underwood off waivers if the move had been made earlier in the week.
Maybe everyone can chill the frick out now. Him being waived is not a big deal.
