I heard yesterday, that they do not even know how many bunkers are on the course. I didn't think it was a bunker, but I suppose a rules official can say different.

the key though is, you ALWAYS ask for confirmation from the official in a case like that...especially when he's walking with your group

The PGA sent a guy out there 2 years in a row to get a count, and the guy quit counting after 1200 saying that he kept getting confused about whether he counted them all or not.
