anyone else notice the douches wearing golf shoes in the crowd?

I usually can't stand these dumbfricks when I go to golf tournaments, but I can almost see a reason to wear them around that place with all of the bunkering you apparently get to walk through...almost.

lol at the official rambling on. he couldnt even justify the ruling. that rule is a crock of shite. never were golfers intended to hit out of bunkers that people have walked through all week. Dustin just became my favorite golfer.

to the PGA

If golf's organizations want to go to television replays, they need to set up cameras on every single hole of every course and review every shot afterward. Of course that shouldn't happen, but why should one player be penalized only because of bad timing for his mistimed mishap.

shouldn't matter. the camera was there when it happened. know your surroundings.

It should be a waste bunker, there are no rakes and the gallery is standing in it. You can ground your club in a waste bunker. And shows again that the PGA of America is awful

So is every sandy area now a bunker?? fricking pathetic.

if I'm ever in sand on a golf course, I'm going to assume it is a bunker unless a) it is noted somewhere that it is a waste area, or b) it's just a sand filled divot.

Does the player have to ask the official before the official can give insight or could the official have said that the area was a bunker w/o prompting?

The fact that there's an inconsistency between players all week never having such a ruling reviewed and Dustin Johnson having his reviewed by officials only because he was leading on the final hole is completely bogus.

1. Golfers are supposed to call penalties on themselves.
2. I don't know that this was necessarily determined from the TV replay. I think the officials on the course made the call, and they showed DJ the replay out of courtesy, if you believe what the official said in that interview.

If Dustin would've made that putt, it would have been the biggest calamity in the history of the PGA. Could you imagine if he makes that putt, celebrates, and is then told that he grounded his club? Wow. Just frickin' wow.

@JasonSobel: Dustin Johnson with Feherty on CBS...

"I don't know if I can describe it. ... It never once crossed my mind that I was in a sand trap. ... The only thing worse could be if I had made that putt. ... I just thought I was on a piece of dirt that the crowd had trampled down. ... Obviously, I know the rules of golf. I can't ground my club in a bunker."

7:36 @JasonSobel: More from DJ...

"If it was up to me, I wouldn't have thought I was in a bunker, but it's not up to me."
