the trade offer is Gasol AND Bynum for Love and the #2 pick
LAL would take Williams from Arizona or Irving with the 2nd pick
Lakers would be getting assraped in this trade.

So Pau Gasol would be involved in the TWO worst trades of all-time now?

Holy Crap, not even Minnesota can be that stupid.
You would think not, but if they did, they deserve to have their franchise dropped...

Minny was also retarded for passing on Curry for Flynn.

I can't see the Lakers making that deal, certainly doesn't seem like they fare well in that trade.
And if no Bynum, then Minny isn't faring well at all, getting a MUCH older guy. Doesn't make sense IMO.

ok that makes more sense if true.
no way in hell THAT makes more sense. That would be fricking retarded, since Love is not on Bynum or Gasol's level for that matter.Williams is undersized and unproven.
If the original rumor is true, then it wouldn't be a horrible trade for Minnesota.Wolves get one of the most talented big men in the game who's a veteran leader compared to what they have on the T-Wolves.
Lakers wold get younger, the only concern is Bynum's health. You are basically making Bynum your primary guy in the post, with Love doing the little things.
If LAL wants to win another title before Kobe's retirement,Derrick Williams won't be starting at the 3 for them.

Obtaining the #2 pick in any draft usually involves a heavy price, even though everyone knows that Minn. wants to trade the pick. When I first heard this trade I heard it involved Gasol only, not including Bynum, which would be insane for Minn.

The laker payroll is insane so dropping Gasol for young talent is not ridiculous.

If the Lakers could get the #2 pick for Gasol straight up, they would be doing cartwheels for months. My concern is from the standpoint of Minn.-Gasol is in no way worthy of the #2 pick in the draft!! Minn. would have to ask for more in order to pull the lever for the trade...

Huh?
Trade away the second best player on a championship caliber team for Derrick Williams? That is fricking idiotic.

Holy mother of shite! How did I miss this gem? How could he not be worth the number two pick?
I just looked at the last 25 years of #2 picks, and there is only three I would definitely take over Gasol. If Gasol was interested on that list of ranking #2 picks, then he has got to be top 5. So Gasol would have fallen between 84 and 88 percentile of best two picks. That is pretty damn good.

That's what the Clippers (Bulls really, I guess) thought when they took Tyson Chandler.

Of all the Lakers fans on TD.com, he chooses to call the one from Rancho Cucamonga a bandwagoner?

He could've been a Clippers fan instead.
