Torry Holt does too.
The NFL writers are very deliberate with how they induct non-generational players which means Megatron will have to wait.

Is he???
WR numbers are inflated these days and he didn’t play very long.

Very good potential class.
I don’t see anyone on there who screams “Why am I listed?”

Manning and Woodson are locks.
Wayne is Top 10 all time in receptions and yards (way ahead of Johnson in both categories), and is only behind Johnson by one in career receiving touchdowns, but neither is Top 10. Yeah, Wayne played 5 years longer than Johnson, but stats are stats.. Not sure if either gets in this go around, but if either does, it should be Wayne. Plus I would love to see Wayne go in with Manning.
Faneca, Lynch, and/or Thomas all make sense.

And he missed out last time
Megatron was the best WR of his generation. No way him, Manning, and Woodson don't get in this year. You could pretty much draw the other two names out of a hat. The only finalists I would make a strong case against are Butler and Boselli. I wouldn't have a problem with any of the others getting in. Butler was just as likely to get burnt as he was to make a play and Boselli only played about six years or so and was only healthy for four or five of them.

Johnson had at least another three or four great years left in him when he retired. That is the only reason Wayne is ahead of him in those categories. It wouldn't surprise me if both get in but if only one does it should be Johnson. Holt also belongs but they aren't going to elect three WRs in the same year.
Another reason Johnson belongs in over Wayne. Wayne had Peyton Manning at quarterback and Marvin Harrison lined up on the other side of the field from him a good chunk of his career. Johnson had Matthew Stafford and a couple of JAGs at quarterback and no one else for opposing defenses to focus on.

Alan Faneca:
6× First-team All-Pro (2001, 2002, 2004–2007)
2× Second-team All-Pro (2003, 2008)
I realize he was a guard, but rarely does someone as accomplished as Faneca have to wait multiple years to get inducted. Hopefully this is his year.

He doesn't have eyepopping career numbers but he's clearly an "I know it when I see it" HOFer.

LOL at anyone who thinks Calvin Johnson was a non-generational player. He was easily the best wide receiver of his generation.

Where's the old timers at? 60's - 80's? Is that it for them? Just 90's on from here out?
