Jim Kelly
Boomer Esiason
Both of them have children with conditions and they both are very generous financially and with their time for those causes.

I heard Nolan Ryan made a special trip to Alsip, Illinois to dig up Emmett Till and toss him back in that river.

Frank Gore seems a pretty good man. In his rookie season he was missing practice to spend time visiting his mother in hospital. Lineman Adam Snyder once said Gore trains so hard sometimes he breaks down and cries.

I wonder if anyone thinks shitty athletes are assholes?

David Robinson would be the king of this list.
Also add Lionel Messi and Kaka to this list.

That was actually Roy Oswalt, who was just doing grandpappy a last favor. When Ed Wade found out, Roy was immediately shipped out of town.

You do realize Nash is Canadian, right?
1. As I stated yes I know he is Canadian.
2. He makes his money in the US.
3. I have been to many countries and have been very respectly of them and there traditions and didn't try to throw my "American ways" down the throat of others while I am a GUEST in another country.
4. Forget it. The topic was
quote:. My point is myself and others that served that I know thinks he's an a-hole. So you can take him of the list. I guess if you never served you wouldn't understand.
Professional athletes who NOBODY thinks are a-holes
ETA: I normally don't talk political issues on here, but it was the point of why he is an a-hole.

The people love me because I don't represent your beach houses and equestrianism and cable-knitted sweaters!

Not me. I ignore the prime directive and set their primitive cultures right.

Cliff Lee, unless he signs with the Yankees.

Steve Nash. You could take him off the list. Probably my most hated NBA player and it is not his playing ability but his political agenda he trys to shove down our throat. As far as Dicks go, he is the king dick.
The most hated player -- by whom? His teammates, his coaches, other players in the league, or other members of your knitting group...
quote:
Nash is the sponsor of the Steve Nash Youth Basketball League in British Columbia that has grown over 10,000 participants. He has also become involved with GuluWalk, a Canadian-operated charitable organization that raises awareness and funds for the war-affected children of northern Uganda. In September 2007, Nash and Yao Ming headlined a group of NBA players who travelled to China and played an exhibition game with the Chinese national basketball team. The charity event reportedly raised 2.5 million dollars, earmarked for Chinese children in need. In May 2006, Nash was named by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. In the accompanying write-up by Charles Barkley, Nash was lauded for his unselfishness on the basketball court, and being "just a nice guy" who had paid for a new pediatric cardiology ward in a Paraguayan hospital.
