I don't like USC (like most LSU fans) and don't like Kiffin personally, but this is part of the punishment and have no problem with Kiffin doing so.

why does USC need another running back???
We have one proven RB, Curtis McNeal, and two unproven backups.
We definitely need more RB depth.

USC's one weakness per ESPN is they don't have a durable, pounding RB. Perfect fit for them supposedly.

Could be some interesting news coming out soon.
After a week of "Silas Redd probably going to USC" talk, Silas Redd finally going to USC wouldn't qualify as "interesting news," at least to me.
I will eagerly anticipate your lack of participation.

I can't stand Kiffin (the whole Tennessee exit) but in no way should he be faulted for attempting to seize a gift horse.

Why? I hope these Penn State players get recruited by everyone possible so they have plenty of options to choose from if they do wish to leave.

It would be a great opportunity for the kid to showcase himself before the draft.
Whether he goes to USC or not - I don't fault the kids for trying to find a high profile program.
For the good ones - this is their major and future and PSU failed in their commitment and promises.
If a college or law school suddenly became unaccredited - any student would want to transfer.

Yea, why should these players not have options? I don't get the bitching about going after them, it's their future let them decide

People are only bitching because he may be going to USC. If the rumors were about him going to Washington State or Purdue, no one here would care.

We had staff up there yesterday according to the MB.

I doubt you or many LSU fans period would feel that way if it were LSU swooping in the get a premiere LB (instead of USC poaching a great RB)

Check the Rant and you'll see your post is full of shite. LSU fans didn't want any of their players. Some suggested Mauti and were quickly told he didn't want to be at LSU before so no want for him now. Also everyone asked who you would cut and no one wanted to kick off a kid that chose LSU.

I have no prob with ppl hating on USC over this......
but the kid should do everything possible to make sure he has a chance for success and if that means going out west so be it
so get over yourselves somewhat

Did Silas Redd turn down USC before?
Not really a fair comparison. Plus, LSU thinks their team is so stacked they don't care.
USC needs help at RB...if LSU needed help, I doubt they'd be so high-minded.

Same here. I wish the kid the best. He did nothing wrong and shouldn't be punished. USC also isn't the only school poaching. They said when Kiffin called, he was the TENTH coach to inquire. That's why I said par for the course.

nonsense and don't be ridiculous
if there was a great player that fit our needs more than 95% of our fanbase would be stoked to get him and have absolutely no remorse about taking him from PSU.

That is the primary issue - IF there were an opening at LSU because of attrition and there were a great player available from PSU THEN LSU fans would be all over sniping him from PSU

Would be an excellent get for the Trojans.
