For some reason people forget just how much of a beast he was that season
Eh, mostly because CMC was better.

mean the dude broke the SEC single season rushing record.
I mean, dude played 15 games and rushed the ball 400 times.

Definitely a beast, though. No doubt about that. Just not the best player in CFB that year.

I’d love to hear the reasoning from posters who don’t put Cam and Burrow as 1-2 (interchangeable)

Lamar Jackson carried a 2 win team to 9 wins. He was simply amazing in to watch.

Alabama’s OL has been littered with 5 stars for over a decade. it’s going to factor in to how a RBs performance is judged in these rankings.

This is a good list.

Too many people forgetting how filthy RGIII was in college.

Everyone that has Marcus mariota near the bottom, but his 52 total td surpasses everyone else including burrow. Wow didn’t realize that.

Mariota had 58 total TDs that year
Burrow had 65

Burrow is easily #1

Cam is #2

CMC is #3 although he didn't win the Heisman because he played for Stanford and not Alabama.

I agree with the above poster, if this is about transcendent seasons...Mariotta has to be #4.

And RG111

Because people aren’t voting for the best offensive player on the best team anymore, but rather the best overall player.

I don’t think any decade has had so many Heisman winners have productive NFL careers.

Cam is an MVP, multiple time pro bowler.

Griffin had a great rookie season but injuries and Snyder destroyed him, still in the league though.

Johnny.... meth and Cleveland don’t mix.

Jameis did his own 30-30.

Mariota was a meh starter, believe he made a pro bowl though.

Henry is one of the top 3 backs in the game.

Lamar is an MVP and the only player in NFL history with 30 td passes and a 1k rushing yards in a season.

Baker, the jury is still out, but he may have found his niche with Stefanski’s offense.

Murray will put up some great numbers, but he’s basically Jameis in Darren Sproles body.

Burrow, meh.
