Yeah, my coach used to call me a **** and launch basketballs at my head on a regular basis. Even choked me a couple times. But since I'm not a pussy, I took it like a man who doesn't give a shite about his pride and self-respect.

Wonder what would've happened to one of his players if they had picked the ball back up and fired it at Rice's head?

I would like to think that I would have.

not really...just people who don't find the need to go after a guy with pitchforks for shite very similar to what a lot of people have likely experienced/seen at a HS level. Also, after watching the video again I feel it is safe to say that anyone who has ever played dodge ball in grade school has gotten hit exponentially harder that what is shown in this video. He's immature and a hothead but this is a non story that is hardly ESPN worth(although it is ESPN, so it is to be expected I guess). Also like how the headline begins with the dreaded gay slur.

If I was getting pushed in the back and blindsided by basketballs I would have knocked my coach the f*&^ out. No hesitation. I got the verbal abuse, no big deal IMO, grabbed by my shoulder pads, and slapped on the side of my helmet type shite, but nothing like this guy. Most of the guys on my team would have layed him out.

exactly but it's an issue between the team and the coach...no need to piss and moan and create a giant story about it. Nobody was hurt and "abuse" is a pretty damn strong term for this.

i just watched the tapes and it looked like every high school sports practice i was ever apart of.
Played in a REC league huh?
No legitimate, successful HS basketball program does this.

my issue is that he was already punished for these infractions. now if he did the same stupid shite again, fire his arse. but this is typical espn stirring the pot over some old shite.
also, would eric murdock be doing interviews and sharing this video with espn if he wasnt sueing? doubtful.

Who cares? The video has been exposed. The motive behind disclosing it doesn't make what is contained in the videos any better or worse.

The controversial practice tape that resulted in a three-game suspension and $50,000 fine for Rutgers men's basketball coach Mike Rice in December.
been exposed to who, the public? the school already saw it MONTHS ago and punished him.

That is crazy, the dude looks like such a little brat throwing a fit.

which is usually when ESPN likes to jump on their high horse and start beating things to death/over analyzing everything
