I have no intentions of throwing my old HS basketball coach under the bus.
If you dont say anything negative about your former coach, how is that throwing him under the bus? You never said he was a total dick, everyone else has.

Again...he's an immature coach who acts like an a-hole...lots of coaches act like fricking assholes. Just tired of everything getting blown way the hell out of proportion. Not sure why this is a major story that deserves to air during the final four weekend. He said fairy and fig :omg:

Straight up lies. He was never fired. His contract was not renewed because he asked if he could work a bball camp that wasnt affiliated with rutgers and they told him no. He went anyway and was let go when his contract was up.
Wow. Either you are Pernetti himself or you memorized his interview today because its pretty much word for word what he just happened to say. The guy obviously cant say why he was truly fired due to NJ employment laws so dont you think its a bit interesting that his contract just happened to not be reviewed? Of course not, you have pernetti fanboy glasses on.

Worst part is, Rutgers still sucks balls.

My high school coach who won 23 state championships would attack us with machetes and even blew a couple people's legs off with a shotgun during one practice where the team was a little lethargic. You're all a bunch of pussies if you think what this guy did is bad.

That man ought to be fired immediately. No excuses!

I wonder if Rice was the reason Rosario ( Florida bball player) transferred from Rutgers. He was one of the top players coming out of high school when he came out and chose to stay home an play at Rutgers. I always thought his transfer was kind of odd.

Um, so you believe one person and i believe another and that makes me a fan boy? Do you really believe all that holier than thou bullshite that eric murdock was spitting. I played against his brother and he was a pompous a-hole, so no i dont believe eric murdock when he says he was appalled with the cursing and name calling. Give me a fricking break.
Also to the poster asking about rosario, he never played for rice, he transferred as soon as rice got there. Now there was a bunch of transfers the last few years that im sure rice and his personality are the reason for.

Hes acting a bit extreme. Grabbing players and moving them is one thing but kicking is another. I grab my guys jerseys all the time and walk them through what they were supposed to do. I have also thrown a ball at one of my guys but it was at the back of his legs because he wasn't paying attention when I was going over defensive rotations. If I'm the AD I fire him because kids aren't going to wanna play for him.

Umm, no. Mike Leach was a winning coach that was pushed out because of some dumbass ESPN commentator and his pussy son. This clown is throwing basketballs at players' heads and still has never made the NCAA tournament. The guy deserves to be fired for many reasons. Not like the Leach situation at all from where I stand.

The verbal abuse is one thing. It happens at most competitive levels. But the physical part? I have a huge problem with that. Throwing balls at a kids head? Hit him in the face square and it might break a nose. Thats borderline assault. Kicking and slapping and some closed fisted punching? Frick that noise. No kid ,college age or otherwise, should be subject to that.
Hypothetically what if this was at the HS level?....Middle school kids?....Elementary age? Is is still the "pussification" then?
