I just don't get the penalty. He called for the fair catch, muffed it, put the ball on the ground, recovered, and got popped. What was the problem there?

It's cause the ref never saw him muff the ball, is my guess. Or, he said he recovered it and was kneeling, and the flag was because he nailed him instead of just touching.
I didn't mind that flag much. I minded the blatant missed block in the back on the guy running behind Roby right next to the punt returner. There's no way any ref on the field doesn't see it if they are actually looking.

Well I'm listening to the game on a BBC radio station and they called it a hit on someone making a fair catch, said he was in no risk of dropping it. Don't know what they saw in comparison to what you guys are seeing.
