That was in the first round and Parkview sucked donkey dick in 2006, so that's not even remotely influential on this game.

He did not say that game would be influential in this game. Go back and read again what he wrote. He is just saying that he hopes we give them a beat down again just like in 2006.

EDW gave a beat down to Catholic of NI. If not for 4 fumbles in the 1st quarter, that game would have been a lot worse that what it already was. If Parkview takes EDW for granted they will be in for a rude awaking. This team plays hard and will take it to you. Very physical football team just like we were in 81 and 82. We knocked the snot bubble out of teams. Ask Dalton Hillard to this day who is and who hit him the hardest. I bet J T Curtis still remembers that team. If not for them getting up on us 21 - 0 in the first quarter and us running out of time in that game we would have been State Champs(21-17 the final)Get to the Dome again Cards, it will be an experience that you will never forget. I know I won't!

Tonight, but there aren't any games in Monroe so it shouldn't matter.

Yeah, NOLA officials for tonight's WM game. Not sure why WM fans are worried. The games where WM received the most penalties were with Monroe and Lake Charles officials. Never had any trouble with NOLA before unless they think the St. Aug. disaster had something to do with NOLA officials...it didn't.

Which school has the most storied history in state championships?

I would have to go with Haynesville. They've played in 21 state championships winning 14 (Most by a public school). The Golden Tornado has been in the playoffs every years since 1970. Not bad for a small school in rural northwest Louisiana. Good luck to them tonight. No matter what happens, it'll be hard for any team in 1A to beat South Plaq.

Curtis...easily.

I will say I was 13 when West Monroe played at Haynesville. Even as a 5A team playing a 1A team, the stadium was very intimidating. When you see all of the banners hanging, it's kind of unnerving. WM won that night 21-7, but Haynesville won the next year at WM 16-7.

Speaking of the two Catholics. The Brothers of the Sacred Heart have two of the teams in the semi-finals.
