damn CC's pitch count is getting up there. Need a GIDP badly.

He'll be lucky to go 6 innings at this rate

He had some shitty luck and tough no-calls.
Guarantee you Cahhhl Crahhhfahhhd hasn't worked an 0-2 count into a walk all season long. Probably same for McDonald.

didn't give up any runs, that's all that matters to me
our pen is good enough to go 3 innings.

I think CC tires as much due to hot weather and long games as he does to pitches thrown.
So I think maybe you could make the case that a high pitch count would ensure Girardi doesn't leave him in too long (as he did v's Oakland) and cost the Yankees the game.
Cool night like tonight with adrenaline - I think he'll be fine up to 110 pitches.

yep, that's what I was just going to say, he'll go 110 pitches at least unless he gets REALLY roughed up before then.
this is a big game, CC knows that, the Yankees know that, everyone knows it. Big man needs to perform and give us a W tonight.

this strike zone is pissing me off - rationally speaking it should be helping the Yanks more than the Sox but it seems like NYY isn't having the quality at bats that they usually do.
Red Sox hitters are doing a much better job tonight working the count. Would love to see Granderson and Canoe start having the quality at bats that they are capable of.

i think if we can somehow get CC 2 more runs the game will basically be out of reach. that way CC can pound the strike zone a little and get a few quick innings

Great at bat by C-Grand. All the Yanks need to do IMO is lay off Lacky's slow stuff (they're never strikes) and pepper his straight stuff.

AL MVP Granderson with 123rd run of the year.

Jesus - I normally LOVE walks that advance a runner to 3rd but with Posada on deck and a double play potentially in order - I'm kinda hoping Chavez is agressive here.
ETA:
Now cue the Posada IEGIDP

Make yer pick now:
Posada
A) hits into 6-4-3
B) hits into 5-4-3
C) hits into 4-6-3
D) Strikes out swinging

Nice shot.
The Baltimore radio guys were insanely lame the other day. One guy kept saying "Fuh rain see skow zer vay uh lee" with a ridiculously obnoxious Italian accent. I wanted to count punch the guy through the radio.

You have to be pretty terrible to give up a HR to Cervelli
