Have they ever had a show like this in prime time for the gymnastics team before? I don't ever remember a production like this being a thing. Nor do I remember the T&F trials being on multiple stations.
NBC going over the top in promoting and selling these Olympics? They have to know they are going to be a ratings flop. Nobody wants to watch half empty arenas.

I doubt that but they pay a bunch of money for it so why wouldn't they promote the hell out of it?

We actually appear to have healthy gymnasts.
The reason there are more falls is because they are all doing harder skills than 5 years ago. Biles will be just fine. Have your bad meet at trials and then kick arse at the big O! BTW, she still won by a landslide!
Y'all don't know shite about gymnastics. Our women are the best in the world by a LOT!

Where do you get this shite? I watched her compete when she was 6 years old! My daughter was a competitive gymnast as well and was around 10 at the time. She absolutely didn't start late. She was a powerhouse even then. Unlike many gymnasts, she actually stuck with her original coach in Houston through the last Olympics, after which, she and her family opened their gym.

She's probably making sure she doesn't get hurt trying to qualify. She just needs to do enough to qualify, not risk her body to blow away the competition.
