The state of Louisiana is not doing their part and helping out the Boys and Girls clubs, etc.

TV money is keeping them alive. I wonder if the ratings continue to drop it would cannibalize some of these lower bowls.

I would bet the lower bowls still get a much higher rating than anything else on. Also ESPN doesn’t give a shite about attendance.

In addition to the fact it's our 3rd trip to the city in 14 months and the same bowl we played in last year.

Don’t know why y’all like to act above the sugar bowl. Y’all clearly aren’t. Wouldn’t be surprised with a bear win

Shame the sec teams don’t “want to be there” and they rely on the big 12 to carry it

You know Baylor is a pretty Baptist school and Waconis pretty conservative.

I'd imagine their fans may be wary of NO and its reputation.

Face value last year for the mid-level section was $180.

I remember when the Sugar Bowl was a big deal and SEC teams absolutely were rabid to get there.

But I’m old.

That was also when playing in the Sugar Bowl meant wining the SEC and winning the Sugar Bowl could put you in National Championship discussion.

Wow that is terrible for a NY6 Bowl. I understand why UGA didn’t travel because they were in this same exact bowl last year

Baylor has a small alumni base. This shouldn't come as a shock.

Well yeah, back when it was the sec champs and an honor to be there.

Now it's just the loser of the sec champ game, who just missed the playoffs, and in this particular situation, a fanbase who has been there last year.

They really need the ability to vary it up since the sec champ is no longer tied in to the bowl. Allow the bowl to select from the top3 remaining sec teams

Again, Baylor has a small arse alumni base. They have trouble filling their 45k stadium when they don't have schools like A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, and OU coming to town.

UGA should've declined the invite, I would have no interest in it if I were a fan or player of theirs

The committee needs to not be a part of making these matchups. After they pick the top 4 the bowls should invite the teams like they used to. Would have avoided having UGA 2 years in a row.

The committee has nothing to do with the Sugar matchup.

The Sugar signed a deal with the SEC and Big 12 to always get either their champion or the runner up from the championship game a few years ago when the SEC and Big 12 were throwing around the idea of a new bowl called the Champions Bowl that would act much like the Rose with the Pac 12 and Big 10.
