Just like it's really not that big of a deal to host a Super Bowl, you don't need to have massive makeovers for 1 sporting event

You dont need to panic clean your house when guests are coming if you keep it clean to begin with.

I dont spend enough time in Houston to know if they keep their house clean in the areas that matter to need to do a full revamp like New Orleans did before the super bowl recently.

What are you talking about? There has been $100’s of millions of dollars on upgrades in Houston for WC.

You must not have driven downtown EADO or on Washington recently with all the road construction

Also it’s 5-6 months from now. The town wasn't any more “excited” for the Super Bowl in May-June

Ask the average Houstonian where the Dynamo play

The upgrades aren’t for the average Houstonian. It’s for all the visitors attending the games. I think you missed the point.

So a whole city is i Expected to buy housing ,security, transportation like I said earlier they wanted an entire terminal solely for their own use without oversight that was denied but they're getting 46 brand new busses public transportation that are left to the city after the fact but 46 new

4 practice facilities two existing two brand new. They are left to the community after the World Club leaves all these things that are explained away as benefiting the community after the fact none of it actually does. Hosting a major sporting event is always a negative for the community hosting it

huge scam

This is a dumb take, if you go to an Astros game then you'll know where the Dynamo stadium is located in EaDo since it is next to a lot of pregame spots. Doesn't help that the USMNT plays all of their games on the West Coast (surprise, surprise.)

As far as the Airport, Terminals C,D and E are fine. If you're flying into IAH you should always use United since those terminals are superior in every imaginable way and coincidentally are also the international terminals.

The road construction has been a shite show. They’ve been tearing up the same stretch of montrose boulevard for the better part of a year and a half now.

Why are 46 new buses not a positive for the community?

Why are 4 practice facilities not a positive for the community?

Seems those are all things that can be used after the events are over.

Texas should have tried to secure the WC on their own. It’s way too spread out across the whole continent. No reason to do a lot of upgrades for just a handful of games
