Brutal double fault after challenging the first serve.

I've had a rough year at the Championships this year as far as rooting interest goes and looks like I'm about to back the loser again. One last hope in Alcaraz tomorrow.

I won $700 on Krejcikova, but was eyeing that cash out button when she was melting down.

Yeah. Was really hoping Paolini would've broken back.

She had to win a road game with the crowd. Good job.

I think part of the crowd at the end there was just wanting the match to continue, right? That was an enjoyable match and would've been even more fun with the 10 point breaker to finish off, had they gotten through the next couple of games.

Some, but it was like a church service in the first set and raucous in the second. Crowd was clearly heavily pulling for Paolini from the start. She is fun to watch. Short players who play at this level are entertaining. And she has a good attitude so I can see why she is a crowd favorite. .

It was a pro-Jasmine crowd for sure. She just has a personality that the casual watcher (like me) can get behind. But yeah I think the crowd just wanted to see more tennis. Would've been awesome to see a tiebreaker lol

yeah, I think y'all are correct. Not out-right hostile, but def Paolini was the crowd favorite.

I wonder what kind of headspace Alcaraz is gonna be in tomorrow? He need not start slow. Novak has had an amazingly fortuitous draw (his good fortune, nothing against him), but has seemed to me to have his old edge. I just don't know how its gonna go going against a top strata player in Alcaraz (sounds stupid saying this right?).

That was a very entertaining 3 sets. I’m hoping to be absolutely wowed tomorrow in the men’s match. I missed last years epic. We’ve been getting more into tennis since joining a CC and playing weekly.

I'm still amazed that Djokavic is anywhere near the final after the surgery last month.
