Sure they have. All those Woody Hayes teams that were #1.

Split National Title.....

Oregon is the only team with 1- loss.

Oregon beat the playoff winner.

Oregon has a better Resume...they played in the Big10 too and blew out @ Michigan.

Well heck, I guess that means the NYG should give the Lombardi for winning SB42 to the Patriots.

Should have never gone to overtime in the first place. OSU got screwed on their last possession of the fourth quarter. Chris Gamble caught a pass on third down that was in bounds, yet the officials ruled him out. If the correct call is made, they would have been able to run the clock down to under 30 seconds, and could have salted the game away with another first down.
Refs also missed a blatant block in the back that allowed Miami the big punt return for the tying field goal.

I hate Ohio State as much as the next guy but just give them their day in the sun, they earned it this year.

Don't forget 2024: Allowing 4 Big Ten teams in the playoffs and keeping out a solid 4th SEC team. It really is amazing how much manipulation it takes for them to win natties. It's beyond obvious that the 12 team playoff was created to weed out the SEC. Sankey sold his soul to protect and baby Texas, for the money and he should be fired.

Ummm, the SEC stunk this year. 2/3 of the “solid” 4th SEC playoff candidates lost to BIG teams in their bowl games. Most years, SEC is best. Not 2024.

Speaking of gifted, remember when you were gifted Joe Burrow by the tOSU? You're welcome.

Imagine if tosu would have actually used him...

More than likely be talking about more NC's but I guess talent evaluation isn't tosu's strong suit...

I love it when moronic tosu fans act like this is some type of gotcha

OSU had Haskins in 2018 who passed for 50 td passes. It’s impossible to know Burrow would do what he did in fall 2019 in the spring of 2018

It’s not a gotcha for either team really. OSUs QB was better in 2018 and Burrow was the best in 2019

Fair enough.

I do appreciate y'all beating Notre Dame. I will say this though, ND never quit but OSU was definitely the superior team. Not sure why they went so conservative though.

I didn't want them to win either. Rooted for Notre Dame. But some of you seem really, personally hurt by them winning. Whining and crying like a bunch of blue hairs.

'Lower' seeds winning is going to happen when you have Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas taking up half the field. No reason to complain about it.

2024 - agree, the regular season isn’t as important anymore. I do like that other teams make the playoff that aren’t used to making it though.

Nah, I can do without SMU and Indiana

Anybody can say what they want, but The Buckeyes were the overall best team this year and showed it when it mattered the most. Every team had the same chance as the buckeyes had and could not do it.

They beat Oregon and Texas. They were deserving.

The 12 team playoff overall was awful though.

I don't think it is a gotcha in a vacuum...but if you think tOSU was gifted these NCs then it certainly is.
