That was the most stupidest fricking call I've seen in a awhile. The coach gets deserves every bash he gets.

After New England beats Indy in the playoffs on the road, this call isn't even going to matter in retrospect.

Oh I did see it clearly buddy... Maybe you should check the rule book.

Specifically Rule 8, Section 1, Article 3 of the NFL rulebook.

He bobbled, controlled in mid air. That means he has to maintain controll all thecway to the ground. Which he did. Which made possession official as soon as he demonstrated controll on the ground... Short of the first down.

It is not a catch until you demonstrate control all the way to the ground on a play like that. So the call on the field was right

bob costas adds to the theme of the night by asking the dumbest fricking question ever to tony dungy. Asked him to rank this game compared to the AFC championship game comeback that got the colts to the super bowl.

I bet the NE fans are in meltdown mode right now.

That was the most unbelievable moment I've seen in football in a very long time.

This has to have an affect on the Pats. Their defense will be so pissed off at him

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe do something to their moral.

When they called that ticky tacky pass interference I started to get nervous and then..well damn, NE deserved to lose that game regardless of the fact..wow, wow, wow...all my winnings today were on NE straight up. I too hope they go in a downward spiral. But knowing Bill and the Pats, their defense will play lights out for the rest of the season.

You said it yourself he bobbled once And secured it...

The only argument you then have is that he was not in the air when he secured it.

Which is obviously false by looking at the replay.

By rule, if you controll the ball in mid air, then the catch doesn't become official until you hit the ground and maintain possession.

Therefore possession doesn't start until he hit the ground. He hit the ground well short.

It's pretty cut and dry dude
