It is funny but you'd be hard pressed to find any analysts who didn't have both of those teams at least making the playoff

Where's your preseason predictions that left both out>?

Mine was Ohio State and Georgia. Definitely not either of these two clown shows.

My thing is how was it possible that so many professional sports analysts really believed Arch was the real deal without any shred of evidence whatsoever ... and the same faith in Penn State actually being a great team (again with very little evidence, just blind hope it seemed).

It's already become cliche now but yes they were extremely lazy. It's been evident to me (and most intelligent cfb fans) for some time now that these "analysts" don't watch many cfb games throughout the season.

Penn State was a play away from making the finals last year and returned nearly everyone. That's why they were so highly rated coming in.

Yeah but even the ones that do had Penn State at the top of their rankings. Which has as much to do with the other teams as it does the Nittany Lions. Guys I like to listen/read pretty consistently called that Georgia and Alabama would be down, which was right. There were questions about Donte Moore that through 5 games look answered.

And those same guys, while more realistic, likes Arch too. It happens, especially this year where no team really stands out

Many of them cover pro sports as well.

It truthfully is hard to have true expertise to be taken seriously in so many different sports, and I say this as someone who watches quite a few different sports.

And then with a sport like college football that has so many teams and games, it's really difficult to even know more than two conferences in and out to have good takes on what the landscape is going to be like. Especially with the chaos of the portal etc.

I probably would have had LSU and Clemson rematch with LSU losing first game of season to Clemson. Two of which I thought had top QBs. Boy, was I wrong. Others I probably had were ND, Ohio State, Alabama, Boise State, Iowa State, Miami (b/c Carson Beck) UGA, Texas, Illinois, Penn State.

Charles Barkley can be wrong and entertaining. Lee Corso was wrong and entertaining.

This turd is wrong and arrogant about it because he occasionally is in the presence of moderately successful people.

Yet when he gets things right (rarely) he gloats. When he gets them dead wrong “it’s entertainment.”

Cringe, Drew Allar is the worst QB among P4 schools. He’s hot garbage.

This is the silliness of making polls based on beauty pageant points. Shouldn't have a single poll until mid Oct to actually compare everyone's schedule. If you rank Penn State, Texas or LSU up high and they win against non ranked teams they make it to playoffs and that's just silly. It's the same foolishness every year.

2021 and 2022 Georgia lost 1 games against Alabama, the same team they beat in the national championship game.
