He didn't hit his hand. That rule means your hand on the ball is the same as the ball. He was hit on the wrist.

The biggest problem I have is not calling a foul on Jackson there at the end when they called the one on the other end. Inconsistent

Exactly. They had an opportunity to at least get the out of bounds call correct. But they intentionally(apparently) neglected to make the right call when they had the opportunity. Out of bounds or not is not a judgment call.

Not when the defender hits the left hand, then the ball goes off of offense's right hand
