Yes I have. And no I haven't. I simply walked away. Angry, of course, but walked away. That doesn't make the initial slap innocent. I'm not saying she deserved to get cold clocked.

The league will survive but Goodell showed his true self and it's kind of sickening.

You're taking a long time to say nothing.

self defense she was charging him no big deal roll tide
Posted on 9/8/14 at 11:53 pm to MenloDawg
Of course she shouldn't have hit him in the first place, but she isn't the public figure on trial here so I don't see why you keep bringing that angle up

Made my point on the league image issue much earlier in the thread and then got attacked by the entire MSB for suggesting that maybe his wife/fiancée at the time initially slapping him wasn't completely innocent. Then spent the last few post pointing out that I'm not defending him and do not think she deserved it.

Regardless Goodell/NFL are in serious trouble. When's the last time a commish was ousted in disgrace? It might happen. This is crazy. Can we get back to that?

Well, I don't think Ray arbitrarily throws a hook without getting slapped twice first, so I think it's pertinent to the situation at hand. That's my point on what I expected from the video. I figured it would just be her verbal actions leading to his physical actions, maybe some alcohol involved and him throwing multiple punches or a prolonged fight. That's not exactly what happened.

Sure. I'm just explaining to the mouth breathers that we can all have a different opinion on the video, but all still think that what Rice did was morally wrong and atrocious.

Blah blah blah, this thread, blah blah.
Ray Rice is a piece of shite and he shouldn't play football anymore, regardless of the rules. Being a good person still matters, and the NFL has very few of them, at least very few that are vocal.

You are stating facts and how they differentiate from a preconceived notion you had on the subject. The only opinion I see you giving is that if she didn't want to get hit she should have never hit him in the first place

Latibeaudiere was on Fox Sports 1 Monday talking about Rice, and his sources—former employees at the now-closed Revel Casino—claim that NFL employees went to the casino to watch the Rice video. Latibeaudiere would not go as far to say that commissioner Roger Goodell personally saw the video, and does not know the name(s) of the NFL workers there, but he said he was sure that "there were people from the NFL who came and saw the video."

Latest TMZ link
This is the ultimate #teamsweep here. NFL has every resource in the world and undoubtedly ignored the evidence.

Sources connected with the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City tell TMZ Sports ... NO ONE from the NFL ever asked for the video inside the elevator ... video that was compelling enough to get Rice instantly fired. Sources who worked at the casino at the time of the incident tell us ... if the NFL had asked for the video, they would have gladly complied.

So in one link we have
In another we have
Hmmm, so TMZ guys telling the same story or contradicting each other?
I guess its possible that NFL officials went and watched it, but didn't ask for a copy to take back to NY
But now that leaves Goodell with an out... "I took my guys word who viewed the video that it wasn't anything that would affect our determination"

He and the NFL have said repeatedly that they (any and all representatives of the NFL) never saw the video. No out that way.

And he was on CBS news saying the only place they request evidence from is police or DA's office.
