Magic is mindfricking everyone

He's giving them mind-AIDS?

Wait so teams are worried that the Lakers aren't involved?

Lakers not involved = they feel 110 percent confident that George will sign with them next year

Did you conveniently forget that Rondo and Cousins spent a year as teammates in Sacramento and that they seemed to love being together? It was actually Rondos best statistical season since Boston I believe.

Yes. Us being so confident scares other teams into thinking we have an under the table deal with PG already set up for next summer

I think the fear is that LA is so confident George walks that they don't offer anything.

Ah good point. I'm going to be honest, Magic has done a pretty good job...so far. I didn't like the DLo trade initially, but I failed to look at the big picture. Let's hope he doesn't make any dumb FA moves this summer

The Sixers have told agents they will seek one-year deals this summer to preserve future space -- and possibly use some of their current room to extend Robert Covington. The one-year gambit will be a hard sell for high-profile guys. J.J. Redick didn't wait this long to sign a one-year deal at age 33.
From Lowe's free agency article.
JJ really rounds out that roster but this is the right move, save space for a year or two from now. Surprised that Colangelo hasn't been more aggressive in the past year trying to win now.

He said yesterday to not expect us to be big players in FA this summer. He feels we already have the pieces to be a decent team as is right now. Might go get 1-2 guys on the cheap. Said he might get a shooter.

Lol GSW is like Hydra. They've already have Clark and McCaw on the come up. For cheaper prices as well

Well ideally you do both but yeah, chipping away at their depth makes a lot of sense.
I mean Iggy and Livingston are great supporting pieces anyway. They can help teams that don't have a winning culture yet.

The jury is still out on those guys. To replace Iggy and what he does, especially in a matchup against Cleveland? It's a tough loss for GSW.

They'll probably get Vince Carter on the cheap and you know they'll get something somewhere else to help offset the loss
