That’s hundreds of millions lost if not significantly more.
Biggest sporting event in the country sans The Olympics.

Why no concern for the student athletes ITT? Do they not deserve protection? Aren’t they traveling from all over?

Just talked to the Raiders’ owner and he said they just had a meeting about a contingency plan for the draft. Right now they plan to go on as scheduled but that could change in a few days.
The draft seems like something that could be shut off to fans without taking away too much.

That's why I feel this is a bit of a phony hedge to cover themselves legally and not take it in the shorts too much on $$$$. If it is that big of a health risk, cancel it.
Posted on 3/11/20 at 5:25 pm to Bunk Moreland
You think it is a phony hedge.
Or would it be more like the usual exploitation of athletes for money.
Hmmm. Occam’s razor.

Because they still have TV contracts to honor
I mean this virus is going to kill us all apparently but you know what its just not a big deal for the thousands of family members, players, and coaches coming together from all over the country
See. We DID SOMETHING. We CARE.

I mean it literally makes no sense. Are college basketball players immune to the shite? They’re traveling from all around and will literally be touching, sweating, and rubbing against each other all game.

Nobody is claiming this.
It’s clear you don’t understand the issue.

More like smart but you still think the boogeyman exists so I’d expect inane statements like that from you

They're just going to end up cancelling the tournament aren't they

And without 10s of thousands of possible carriers around them, they'll be less likely to get the virus.
How is this complicated?

Wrong.
Stop digging.

The weird dichotomy between:
“It’s a big nothing. Only elderly and sick people are dying. “
And “if it was really serious they wouldn’t let healthy young people attend”
Btw, as someone who regularly attends college sporting events, I have to think half the ushers/volunteers are in the danger category. At least at ASU.

I’ll be digging all night long in your mom that’s for sure
