Collison with Roy/ Granger.
This is what I was thinking...I think Granger would be a great fit with one of our two PG's.

Rudy is a RFA. Does not have a team option

I want Granger too. I think any Hornets fan would take Granger in a good trade... if he's available. Indiana looks like it's really trying to go somewhere - they won't trade by far and away their best player.
ETA: Well, damn. I guess that sign and trade really is the best option.

Rudy Gay is by far and away my favorite player in the NBA. Next is CP3. I've been thinking for 4 years now on how to get them on the same team. Lol
With all these teams clearing cap space for the summer. Many of them are going to strike out on the big timeFAs. Next are the guys Like Gay. He recently turned down a 5 yr 50 mill deal. Other teams are going to be throwing 60+ mill at him. The grizzlies will not match that. Their best bet is to try and get a legit PG for him through a sign and trade
He's been avg 20 ppg over the last 3 yrs with mike freaking conley as his PG. He could sign a contract relatively close to Pejas. 5 yrs 65 million? 12 mill a year for a 20 and 5 guy on the wing ?

thats the whole point. you may be dangling him, but the hornets aren't, and shouldn't.
just like the blazers arent dangling roy and the pacers aren't dangling granger.

I think its doubtful our organization would send Chris Paul to a division rival.... especially memphis. What a way to thank him for his services....

chris paul and zach randolph would be 1 big explosion
Posted on 2/22/10 at 11:46 am to SlowFlowPro
Why SFP ? Cause I don't like to jump on bandwagons like DWade or LBJ ? He's my favorite player cause he dominated a game against LSU back during the year of LSUs final 4 run. It's original not a commodity like your favorite player being LBJ
I'm not saying trade CP3 to Memphis. I'm saying trade DC

Nobody dangles superstars but you sure as hell consider a fricking trade when someone mentions the sweet lovings of "chris paul" in your ear.
Let's not be naive here.

Chris Paul hasn't been "Chris Paul" since around December of last season.
He's been outplayed by the likes of Nate Robinson, Tony Parker, Darren Williams, and Chauncy Billups.
All things considered I think he's still the best PG in the league, but the problem is that the gap between the best PG in the league and the 10th best in the league is so tiny that it's barely noticeable.
If we could somehow trade CP3 for a true difference-maker (Roy, Durant, Bosh, etc) that would be the only way this team could compete for a title.

Another set of names that I would think long and hard about for CP...
Igoudala and Thaddeus Young.

keep them both
its no coincidence that teams with good depth win a lot of games

If that trade presented itself for NOLA, I'd trade CP3 for Roy straight up.
I think it's too late now that Portland has spent big money and effort addressing their 1 (still to no avail however).
I also would love to make this move.
Roy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MoPete or Peja
Paul >>>> Collison
