You're retarded if you think they won't win a game.

As far as this game, Tulane has ALWAYS struggled against the triple option.

Tech wins in alot closer game than it probably should be

I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't be close.
Tech is a minor bowl program and Tulane isn't a pushover anymore.

Maybe if it rains and that freaks Lee out and Tulane can't pass but Tech/Wofford was 24-19 in the middle of the 4th Q.

I would predict this to be a close game, but there are those once a season or so games where Georgia Tech actually gets clicking on the triple option and just blows a decent team out.

That having been said... yeah, I think Tulane has a shot if they correct some of the issues they had in their first game.

That's true - they've had 3-4 week stretches in various seasons where they look unstoppable. And then teams catch up to them.
Tulane will definitely have to show more discipline on defense to slow them down.

Should be a good game. It's pretty cool that we get to help Tulane open the new stadium along with the SEC history angle.

Only wish I was able to go.

Tulane needs to recruit better.

Easier said than done. At the moment, the top tier Louisiana players go to the top tier SEC schools - LSU, Alabama, Auburn

The second tier players are going to second and middle tier schools - A&M, Arkansas (well, used to be second tier), Ole Miss.

The third tier are going to OOS to other programs - TCU, Houston, for example.

Tulane is competing for the fourth tier in-state players with the likes of Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette.

You can't just snap your fingers and say "we're going to recruit better." It doesn't work that way.

Well, that's what a coach tries to change.
And so far, CJ really hasn't- we're recruiting the same profile of player we have for the last 10 years. We should be moving into that 3rd tier.
That said, CJ is signing players who are 3rd tier quality (and some 2nd), but who the recruiting sites label as 4th tier. Good evaluation skills and relationships with high school coaches create that. And he's signing very few FCS level players (those labelled 4th tier but really FCS), in contrast to his 2 predecessors.

FWIW I'd say
1st - LSU, Alabama
2nd - Auburn, Aggies
3rd - Arizonas, Ole Miss, TCU, Houston

I think Tech wins, but it's close enough and exciting enough to get people coming back for more games.

I'll be at the game tomorrow. I would be shocked if GT lost this game but we aren't exactly loaded with talent this season so I guess it's possible.
