EXACTLY, this Lester dude's a fricking idiot I fricking shut that fool down so quick

Yes they are you idiot, his behavior is the direct cause of all of this
No, the people that did nothing about it are the reason this is going on. Including his close friend & man that employs him because of his uncle, Urban Meyer
Had he been fired in 2015 this is a non story.

Well, apparently that's the AD and Title IX coordinator bc according to his statement, CUM fulfilled his obligation and didn't cover it up

Courtney Smith, the victim, was never interviewed.

Please theorize for me why it wasn’t investigated
Why would the AD care about protecting a fricking WR coach ?

I think the following is becoming increasingly obvious:
1) Urban knew about this all along
2) Urban probably told a few people
3) The end result will be Urban will be cleared of wrongdoing, but will forever be known as one of the biggest POS to ever coach college football. However, if he keeps winning at tOSU, no one will care that he is a massive POS.
He clearly has no problem with a woman-beater being on the staff. He only fired the guy because he thought the public would not like knowing that. By lying about it at B1G media day, he thought he could keep his public nice guy persona. Now that his job is on the line, he has no problem revealing the POS he really is.
He may personally respect women, but truly he doesn't give a crap if anyone else does... as long as that person is contributing to a winning program.
And much of this, everyone already knew about Meyer from his Florida days.
I can't stand Meyer either, but all these folks who can't see the obvious truths in your statement are beyond help. Universities hire scumbags for coaches. Every university in this conference hires them. Hell, we've got one guy posting here who has as his avatar the picture of a coach with a reputation for having a drinking problem and even showing up at a Memphis recruit's house drunk...yet he's kicking and screaming for Meyer to be fired, not because of what he did but because of a guy he hired.
tOSU wants to keep Meyer. They're going to keep Meyer, because he wins championships and brings in gazillions of dollars for the university.
And they have exactly zero fricks to give about what any of us or the rest of the country thinks. They know that by midseason, no one is going to be talking about this any more.

So that necessarily means that there was no investigation whatsoever.

2 questions for you
1) how do you conduct a domestic abuse case without interviewing the victim?
2) if they did investigate it, why is it a fireable offense in 2018, but not in 2015?

IDK that's why we have fact-finding, I'm giving Urban the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise I believe in due process which is something you obviously take for granted, aint gonna speculate at this time

*investigation
*alledged victim

It's almost like something changed in 2018...

Disclaimer: for all the libtards out there, this may come across as victim-shaming but rest assured it isn't I just want due process and fairness so there won't be a miscarriage of justice
Is the assertion of no investigation and no interview solely from the victim or has it been corroborated by the university who has a legal obligation to investigate these things? we're only getting one side here, dawg

Well that’s mighty convenient. You have an answer to everything else
Lol. Knowing what we know now, Please go listen to his media press conference again.
Wait, you believe in due process yet you’ve been saying for pages his fulfilled all his obligations and isn’t going to get fired?
Now all of a sudden you are in favor of due process & wont be making any more assumptions? Lol

Jesus, are you not paying any fricking attention whatsoever?
1. Police investigate domestic abuse cases. University Title IX officials aren't fricking detectives.
2. Why was it fireable in 2018?
What in the hell is so fricking difficult for you to grasp about the fact that tOSU doesn't HAVE to fire Meyer if they don't WANT to fire him?
You've got a drunk's picture as your avatar. Why did your university hire him? Because they wanted to and they could.

I prefaced those claims with "probably" and "purportedly," waiting for the facts he said he did let's see if its supported by evidence

isn’t going to get fired?
Won't be fired for cause that would hold up in a court of law, he claims he elevated it up the chain as he's required to and didn't cover it up, the buck is passed

Fire Orgeron!
quote:
Orgeron also admitted to blatantly lying to the media's last fall:
quote:
LSU struggled to a 3-2 start, including a home loss to Troy, after which Orgeron stepped in to "simplify" the shifts Canada often uses with his scheme.
"This is Matt's offense," Orgeron said Oct. 2. "He runs it. He calls it. He scripts the plays. This is his offense."

Fire Nick Saban!
quote:
Many times, coaches who change their jobs or owners who move their teams have to do a considerable amount of lying along the way -- it comes with the territory. But few people in history have lied as excessively as Nick Saban did when he took the University of Alabama football job. Even to the last minute he denied having any interest in 'Bama at all, only to accept the job less than a day later.

Damn, here I am having to agree with you again.
I'm not defending Meyer in the least. Meyer is a scumbag POS as far as I'm concerned. It's just downright comical that some of these posters here seem to think that the tOSU administration gives any fricks whatsoever about what the rest of the country thinks about their football coach as long as he's winning championships and raking in the cash.

Then let me ask you this
Urban Meyer reports wrongdoing to the AD & T-9 for what reasons?

2. Why was it fireable in 2018? Were you fricking asleep last Friday when she got an order of protection against him?
And order of protection stemming from _______?
Do you know how hard it is to get a restraining order?
