Thank God that's over. I couldn't have the LSU offensive debacle and the US giving up a 2 goal lead back to back.

The missed penalty and the missed header were crucial.

It was kind of like the US-Portugal second half in 2002, with the US holding off a frenzied attack.

Btw, the hand ball was on Holden, right?

Great half...could have been 7 or 8 goals easy. 9 or 10 possibly.

Yeah, it was Stu Im pretty sure. That was unreal.

This at least salvages my night. What an unexpected result.

The US midfield made some very crisp passes, but the defending was miserable. Bornstein allowed them to just run up his side, and the central defense played way too far up.

This was like the anti-thesis of Bob ball, but it has some drawbacks as well. We aren't exactly Real Madrid.

Shame that I had to watch this game on a ten inch box on my computer screen.

The defense was doing stuff that I have never seen out of an American defense before. It's like they suddenly thought they were playing in La Liga or something

Hadn't Honduras only given up like 3 goals through the entire qualifying rounds at home?

Also, I know the US plays in CONCACAF but not many teams that have qualified for 6 straight WC
