I did not get to see the game tonight. Just from reading this thread, sounds like we finally attacked, for once, and didn't stay in a shell, and what do you know, it paid off! Hopefully we take this philosophy to South Africa.

Only saw the ending, our defense was atrocious. Midfield looked fine, when did Conor Casey learn how to play soccer? I still don't think we'll do great things in the WC though.

It all depends on seeding. I never figured out how FIFA determines which teams end up in which pots. It's certainly not based on the FIFA rankings. Otherwise the US would be in Pot 2 every year instead of 3 or 4

Henderson, they looked OK for the most part, but Timmy WAS getting on their arse pretty good. Of course they started Bornstein, and 'Dolo didn't come on until the 90th minute.

Midfield was solid and had plenty of space, and space on the counter through most of the second half. One of Casey's goals was lovely, he got a nice through ball, and Valladares (who I really like) came off his line, then got all indecisive.

Landon's free kick was spectacular.

Casey's second goal was awesome. I have been watching Dani Guiza miss the exact same shot for about the past 4 weeks. I didn't know Casey had it in him.

Paging token dumb Honduras with excuses...

That being said one of my best friends is Honduran so I'm hoping that they can beat El Salvador and qualify.

Yeah that 3-0 prediction doesn't look so great now.

I think that they have a better squad than Costa Rica though. I hope they qualify because they will represent CONCACAF better in 2010.

I liked the jerseys they wore tonight. I still have a 2002-era jersey without a name or number on the back, but I'll upgrade sometime before the World Cup.

I would go with Donovan.

i got one from a mexican flea market in houston (because i went there in summer 2006) but it was too small... i could wear it but it's a little tight, not like my wolverhampton jersey...

no name or number on the back, and it's the 2002 style...

speaking of wolves... ebanks blake needs to get started this season after he signed a new wolves contract. he was hurt but now he's back
