I agree, but I will say our d-line is way ahead of where they were last year, and that's going to keep OSU in the game at USC. They're playing a lot better than I expected, and Lawrence Wilson is as good as advertised.

i disagree. ohio university ran pretty damn well vs that "talented" d-line.

i can only imagine what usc will be able to do

Didn't y'all just struggle with Miami? I don't see this going too well for the Buckeyes homie.

I'm talking about getting pressure on the QB. We were collapsing that pocket a lot and flushing him out. Sanchez wont run like that OU QB will. Defense needs to not overpursue though, because if that QB had a better arm there were lots of open guys in broken down plays.

What has been lost by many, including myself, is that OU has very good corners. I remember hearing that both are good enough to play in the NFL at some point. Now I'm not saying they are as good as USC's cause they probably aren't, but they aren't total chumps either.

With that said, we look like crap and I have no idea how we're going to beat them. I just hope that Ray Maudlgidgaioe (sp obviously) gets like 6 personal fouls for headhunting like he always does

Who else does USC face that may beet them?

Oregon, ASU and Cal all have the offense to compete with USC. Arizona and Washington scare me, just because they are bad teams with good QBS that USC tends to struggle against.

Hey believe me, I would never had said that myself . I'm looking for the article where it said that but am all of a sudden having problems finding it......

Edit: here we go

LINK

"Why Ohio might win: The secondary might be as good as USC's, at least at the corners (fine, the safeties aren't in the same ballpark). Mark Parson and Julian Posey might be the MAC's best corner tandem and they should keep the Buckeye passing game from consistently producing like it might hope for. There's a ton of talent in the OSU backfield, but without Beanie, the running game isn't going to be the same."

I'd say having corners close to as good as USC's puts you in the league right?

I will say, rocket, you should be proud of your Bobcats, they played very hard and well. Hopefully, they can make some noise in the MAC this year.

USC 44
OSU 9

OSU gets great field position on the opening kickoff either with a good return or through a USC turnover. USC fans start leaving the stadium in droves. OSU fails to score a TD and settles for a FG. USC scores TDs on their next 3 possessions.

Halftime 21-3, game over. America gets off their collective butts to do yardwork and honey-do projects they've been putting off all summer.

The media annoints USC as the best team since USC and starts building up the OU/UT game as a battle of Titans. The winner will face Missouri in the Big 12 CG for the honor of facing USC.

Don't TIVO the USC/OSU game because the BCSCG will be an instant replay. Meanwhile, a one loss SEC team will beat the ever loving stink out of Missouri.

and that Virginia team that usc destroyed sure was great! they beat the powerhouse of Richmond 16-0!

shows you how awesome usc really is!

That would be a 1-AA Richmond team.

USC is overrated as usual.

An assraping is in the near future for the Buckeyes. Seriously though, OSU is in trouble. You people must realize, the media talks about the 19 or 20 starters OSU returns. Thats the same 20 that didn't belong on the same field with LSU last year. The same 20 that won't belong on the same field with USC this year. I'm no USC fan, but I have to tell it like it is. What makes some of you Buckeye fans think those same 20 players will be that much better? They may have won the Big 10 last year, but would not have won the SEC or Pac 10. They just aren't as good as some of you people think they are. You all will see, the Buckeyes will get exposed again.

I saw OSU is getting 10.5...I'd take that. USC won't win by more than 10 I don't think the more I think about matchups...

Give the 10.5 and thank all that is holy that is all you have to give. 5 turnovers against Ohio and they still basically match you in total yards? Cmon at some point you guys cannot be this blind to reality. Your passing game was an insult to pedestrians (110 yards in a game you were losing for most of it... Jesus), your 'good depth' at running back was a complete fallacy, and their top two running backs had healthy averages against you (and USC has about 7 that are much much much better then them).

For humor sakes, I am trying to infer what 'matchups' are making you comfortable right now.
