As bad as that was, it was a judgement call I guess and the refs could try and defend it as a bang-bang play.
But this was just a ROUTINE SACK!
How does the NFL defend this without sounding comical?

It was terrible.
We had them stopped and they called defensive holding on Mike Evans that didn't exist and extended the drive. Then they missed a DPI on us. Then they called the horse shite roughing penalty.
It was terrible officiating on a crucial drive in the game. There's no way around it. The refs sucked balls today.
