That sounds about right with Catholic...
It’s not just Catholic BR. I’m pretty sure all private schools in BR charge their students to go to games. Most have some kind of season pass type thing for their students.

assume you all might coin flip or something to determine a neutral site playoff game?
That’s not a thing in Louisiana… now it’s higher seed hosts every playoff game

How has their recent playoff success been? Not sure. I know that STA, LO, DTown, all usually have solid squads year in and year out. The rest of the district is competitive with no easy outs. It’s probably one of the top baseball districts in the state from top to bottom
We had a good lefty the past few years and hosted and won the first round in 24… but that is an elite area for baseball… I’ve often wondered why we don’t play more teams from that area.

Some people believe they are the Bishop Gorman of the state.
If I’m the only person you know who thinks that, I might be a bit crazy, if someone else thinks that, then maybe there might be something to it…
But we are one of the biggest schools there is in Louisiana, not winning all the time but winning enough to keep interest… and most importantly everyone seems to have an opinion. Sometimes it’s Karr in the news, sometimes it’s HC, sometimes it’s St. Aug, sometimes it’s Rummel, sometimes it’s us

Has St Paul’s ever expressed interest in joining the Catholic League?
No, in fact it was the opposite.
They was a proposal several years ago to put the in the Catholic League and they balked because they "would have to travel 25 miles" for games.

And those seeds are determined by a power ranking, correct? Who determines or creates the formula for the ranking?

It’s in the LHSAA handbook…
10 points per win
Opponents winning percentage x 10
2 points per division if playing up
Divide by games played

My kids private school in Baton Rouge doesn’t charge students to go to any games

What school is that? Because I know for a fact PBS and Dunham do. St Michael’s did as of 4 years ago. Hell PBS did when I went there in the 90s.
You may need to look at your fee schedule. There is probably a line item that’s an “athletic fee”. That’s your charge for the year and it allows your student to get into every athletic event on campus. .

Yes, that is definitely the toughest baseball district in the state. They churn out college prospects.
****third toughest
3-5A with the Lafayette and LC teams is better and has been for years now and
9-5A is better too imo but its close.
historically 5-5A prolly the best if going back 40 years though.
but LO,DS and walker are moving to 4-5A right?

St Michael does not charge students to get in home games of any sport.
Parents can buy a season pass. It’s pretty cheap and gets you in every home game , all sports.

St. Michael does not charge their students for ANY home games regardless of sport.

Catholic has 1000 students not including it sister school.. they chose to offer a student pass for 100 bucks or so that covers all sports excluding playoffs
St Michael’s has an activity fee for 200 dollars that’s required. Catholic does not
The point is.. Catholic does charge a cheap option for all sports that’s not required.. most schools hide it in a fee schedule .. either way.. you’re paying for it
