First off the cubs are the goat at winning world series in jealous fans heads

Theo never was able to get down the perfect mix of win now and build for the future.

"all go wrong"?
They won a WS for goodness sakes, were in the playoffs the year before and 2 years since, and are first in the division this year.

You will be able to make this same topic about the Astros 2 years from now. They are already starting to falter a bit with 4 losses in their last 5 games, 3 of which were to really bad teams.

The only thing that would give me pause about the Astros going forward is what the rotation will look like. But that's still at least 2 years down the road and a lot can change by then

I can’t really complain with the last couple seasons. Just didn’t go our way. But this season hurts. I can tell you where it all went wrong for this year...Theo just running it back after saying the offense broke last year.

I think Theo was a little blindsided by ownership telling him the budget was maxed out. That's the only explanation to me for his actions the prior 2 off seasons.
