month ago at the beginning of this topic you called our run to the dome a "dream run."
Well it was the first time in any of y’all’s lives… but with the right coach, now that y’all know what it takes, it’s a little easier to go back.
Don’t know what studs y’all have coming, but y’all had the depth. It’s not like y’all are just going to go away

Hate to be a pessimist in this regard, but Ponchatoula is fighting an up hill battle. The kids know it too. They're losing most of the offensive side, and key positions on defense. The talent comming up from the freshman class is minimal, and the junior high is lackluster at best. At least other teams in the district will be going through some of the same issues. I predict a 7-3, 6-4 type year next season. I hope they prove me wrong.

I seem to vaguely remember that it was either the freshman or the Jr. High that nearly blown everyone out?

Partially, the new principal wanted the money going to school. It was also used to pay asst coaches(more than went to players-who certainly worked and earned it).
THe new principal wanted him gone.
Pretty accurate account of what happened. New admin wanted him gone (didnt like how much power he had) and they used the summer camp deal as the mechanism to cancel him there. Lazare was a kingpin in the mutiny. Jealous of Hank, never really liked what Shaw was all about and thought he was too good for it all. Can't remember if he went to Brother Martin or Jesuit but it always seemed as if he never committed to the school but nobody else wanted him so he was sour. He was a shitty asst baseball coach; always unhappy and he wanted to do all he could to bring down the school and the man who lead the charge.

Wasn't the freshmen for sure. They had a short season due to the storm. Only played 4 games and lost all but Slidell. The junior high won a few. Nothing overly impressive though.
