A more recent example is Bokeem Woodbine and Tyrese Gibson. Dudes seemed headed for stardom, then fell off.
Bokeem used to get slammed in urban magazines. I enjoyed Strapped in general, but the guy is ridiculously one-dimensional.

I've been catching him in some Redbox straight-to-DVD flicks, so I'll slightly concur.
And granted Louisiana has a lot of movies filming here, it can't be a good sign that Cuba Gooding Jr. practically lives down here thanks to all these indie flicks he's appearing in. The thread on him chilling at Mellow Mushroom = greatness.

And "The Messenger", which recently came out.

Didn't read all the pages but i'll go with a few people that we all assumed would blow up and just didn't. Not saying that they haven't done anything, but i thought they would do way more.

What happened to Emilio Estevez?
I haven't seen him since he was playing a young verison of his dad in the West Wing.

On a related note, I liked how both Charlie Sheen and his brother were in Cadence with their dad. Nobody ever seems to realize that their dad Martin Sheen (born Ramon Estevez)is Spanish.

for the hype he had after Traffic, most definitely.

He's got Wolfman coming out pretty soon. Anthony Hopkins and Hugo Weaving are also in it. Should be a fairly big movie.

Big role in Sin City, the lead role in Che.

yeah, it seems like the two guys i listed are getting back to it, but just from say Traffic till now for Del Torro and from Gone in 60/Boiler Room to now for Ribisci

I think Del Toro is a good choice for now. He does have two big films coming up that could change everything, but after Traffic, 21 Grams, and the Way of the Gun, his biggest roles are being a part of the gigantic Sin City ensemble and Che, a film that was not watched by a lot of people and was ultimately another Soderbergh vanity project.

In all seriousness how about:
Tim Robbins
Jude Law
Freddie Prinze Jr (not a great actor but was revelant at some point in his career)
