Oh and the guards name being Bob kinda gives this away

That facility was run by Hydra. Fury using it I think ties into the new Cap America movie and the "bad side" of shield.

Hmmm... What that will probably mean is that SHIELD took it over but kept the crew and research. Similar to what we saw when Cap found those improved HYDRA weapons in The Avengers.

Maybe it's the remains of the Red Skull post space travels since Hugo Weaving has been reluctant to reprise his role.

AV Club episode review brought up the possibility of the blue guy being Atlantean.

Being that so much of the space stuff is coming in the movies, they may be using this series go to the other fantastic elements of the Marvel universe.

Do the Kree or Atlanteans have regenerative powers? That seems to be what they were using the blue guy for. Captured him injured and stuck him in a perpetual regenerative state where they steal whatever his body is producing, thus not allowing him to heal fully.

Interesting episode.

Sif was a little cheesy, but I like the movie cast involvement.

Hoping sky gets some powers from this.

Don't you talk about sif like that.

She so fine.

I'm anxious to see how deep may is on this.

Well, we know Ward won't be deep in May anytime again soon.

It was implied that she had powers before this. I wonder when they are going to reveal them.

Did anyone else notice that when Sif was listing alien species that were blue that there was a pause when she mentioned the Kree. Like they were ever so slightly trying to drop a hint? Or was that just my imagination?

I wish they had given her a multi episode arc. The way Asgardians talk with people on earth cracks me up.

Could May be...a Skrull?

If Skye is Moondragon, that makes Drax her father.

Wait, I thought Moonstone was just some psychiatrist that tricked the original villain Moonstone into giving up his powers?

I think you're thinking of Moondragon.

While I like that this episode pushed the main arc as its secondary story, the main focus and performances of this episode was cheesiness of the highest order. Lady Sif's mugging and posing for the camera to the way Phil delivered his dopey speech to Sky explaining their situation. This show is better than this and we have seen it before.

:rimshot:

I hadn't thought about the Skye/Moondragon similarity. I guess we'll know when/if she goes bald

I agree on the alien, it looks like they are using the show as an entry for the Kree, which would also then be an opening for things like Mar-Vell, the Inhumans, the Skrulls, hell maybe even The Watcher.
