I have recently read that next weeks Shield takes place directly after CA2 and while you don't HAVE to watch CA2 first, it is highly recommended.
After seeing CA, and the events in it. I would think you would have to see it to keep watching the show about SHIELD.

Seeing how this thread is so long, has the show gotten better after the first two or three episodes? It was so cheesy at first I couldn't handle it.

Ya, I'd say this episode spoils a good bit of the movie if you haven't seen it

Marvel Agents of Shield finally went to that place the movies up until Captain America: The Winter Soldier were unable or afraid to go.
This episode got to 24 like levels of violence.
This episode brought the goods tonight, I don't want to have to wait for Marvel films in order for this show to get good.
Also if you have not seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier, this episode is not going to pull any punches with spoilers, unlike the Thor: The Dark World tie in episode, this one is heavy into the events of the recent Captain America film.

Yes
While most of the main plot of the film was given away in the show, there was a lot more going on revealed in the film.
And the movie is fricking awesome anyway.

Just what is that crazy guy up to now?

With him flipping we are now further from Sky's sweater puppies.
Unless he hits it before they figure out he's a bad guy.

Pretty crazy episode. I, now, can't wait for the next one. I used to be indifferent.

Holy Mother of Plot Twists!
Ugh. I HATE that it's Ward. I figured it towards the end but it was like he was putting a bullet in my heart
Very glad I saw CA2 this weekend. The tie in was pretty awesome.

They were telegraphing it the entire episode. But yes I'm glad Ward went bad.

They don't necessarily have to shave her head. They had Black Widow speak with an American accent, they had Frank Castle in the FBI, they removed the shrapnel from Tony Stark's chest, they made Jim Rhodes, not Norman Osborn the Iron Patriot, and they made Maria Hill work for Stark Enterprises.
Besides, we don't have to suspend belief if they tell us Dave Batista is her father.

The implication was that he was a hydra sleeper all along, and he was under orders to kill the fake clairvoyant. But as these things go, wouldn't be surprised to find him conflicted and eventually turning back.

Holy frickballs. I did not see that coming.
