Meh. I still like the show and still have every intention of watching next season. It's far from on life-support at this point.
Now if they spend a whole other season not telling us who the killer is, then we can talk life-support.

This.
Of course, I genuinely thought the Sopranos finale was brilliant. Seriously.

this just pissed me off. This pretty much leads us into season 2 with hardly any answers and looks like belco could have closed the case and we have no idea what is going on
Richmond isn't killed. Book it.

I really liked the ending, thought it was well done

And I still am convinced there's a lot more to Beau Soleil, the aunt and her connection. And the smarmy campaign aid and Drexler.
My problem is that I'm ready to move onto another story. I'm hoping the next season isn't entirely devoted to Rosy.

You're not. And honestly, I think some will come back around after they get over the swing of emotions (I did say some, I realize it won't work for all).
Some thoughts about the finale though...
So just how much has Holder screwed with this investigation? And is he involved in the actual murder? (This is killing me by the way, I was starting to really like the skeezy bastard).
How does Ahmed's wife NOT recognize Stan at the hospital? He was only sitting in jail after confessing to beating the crap out of your husband.

Either Drexler or Mayor Adams paid off Holder to frick up the investigation...and I agree that Belco won't be able to kill Richmond.

I think it turns out that Holder's intentions were good but he just fricked up. But you could be right.

He looks 'off' when they were watching Richmond get processed...then his little talk in the car seemed pretty fishy as well. It looked like a car used by a politician.

Yeah. True.
Yo, I style in that very ride, brah. Don't hate.
Kidding.

This episode did remind me of one of the first episodes when holder had an envelope of cash and told linden that it was blackjack winnings. Was this ever enlightened upon? I don't remember

Yeah, he was paying back money he owed as part of his 12 step program.

Nope, I'm with you.
Fantastic ending.
Everyone bitching for the lack of resolution... to me, this opens up the case and lets you see that it's MUCH bigger than we've been lead to believe the entire season.
Someone wants Richmond put down... for what reason, we don't know. Who? We aren't entirely sure either. But this runs deeper than an up and coming politician getting involved in a scandal and trying to clean up his mess (a story so retread you can plot the movements).
This is bigger, deeper, richer, and a better payoff is coming, eventually.

What a complete sack of shite this show turned out to be. That ending was just a giant f u to the audience. They took perhaps the last character that I gave a crap about on this show and did some bullshite tv twist crap. Sud
