Clearly, the mother is troubled by something. An argument with Rosie, something she didn't tell the dad, her own misbehavior, whatever. She's not the killer, however. But she feels responsible.
There's something suspicious about the teacher, too. Although he did turn in the cell phone. Maybe that's a setup though?
I'm rambling.

I think she feels responsible because she didn't try to call Rosie the entire weekend. At least that is what the Aunt was pissed at her about.

I guess its a possibility, but I just don't see it.

ETA:
The more I think about it, Rosie's mom may be hiding something though...maybe she knew that Rosie was with Jasper and didn't want to tell the father. In the beginning she was talking to Rosie's dad about letting her grow up, and maybe that was a part of it.

But that's just a wild guess.

I still can't come up for a motive for the teacher or the aunt. Also, do you remember during the premiere when the Aunt said to the mother "how could you not know where she was for 3 days?"....that would be pretty psycho for her to say that to the mother and actually be the killer imho.

Definitely set him up. I find it funny that the same actor was on mad men and something along the same lines happen to him.
