I think introducing a new villain would totally undermine what made Infinity War great. Thanos is one of the greatest villains and initially Infinity War was going to be part 1 and part 2 so I have a feeling he was a major part of both arcs of both movies. There's no way he's not Endgame's ultimate bad guy. Maybe there's a new villain they have to deal with while they are in the QR or they have to fight Loki or Ultron again or some new threat because of the time travel but the final battle will be Avengers vs. Thanos. That is what the entire first 3 phases of movies has been building towards. I don't think Thanos will be in this movie a lot but he's going to be the main villain.
He's a larger than life villain, 10X more important than Ultron and Loki and just wiped out half of all life. There's no way he only gets one movie as the main villain.

So... I'm looking at the names on that poster and I'm not seeing Tessa Thompson. Are they really going to make zero reference to Valkyrie, Korg and Miek?

He is not going to be the same Thanos he was in IW. He is going to be as dangerous as an old man trying to send soup back in a deli.
Marvel has to pull the biggest misdirection or gotcha moment ever to set off Phase 4. This is the end for this awesome storyline and there is no way it ends with just the defeat of Thanos and resetting the snap.

I just hope Marvel doesn't have Thanos helping the Avengers after a change of heart of something.
I hope they kill Thanos. If they want to introduce a worse cosmic threat, that is cool but Avengers shouldn't need Thanos's help to win.

Considering that we could be talking about either using the gauntlet to alter reality or using time travel to alter reality, it could come down to Thanos stopping the Avengers from destroying reality.

In his dying statement, Thanos would say, "I hope you're satisfied...you are not prepared for what comes next..." or something to that effect.

That's not a hard concept at all. Central Time and Central African/Central European Time Zones are only 6 hours apart.
If it's 8 AM in Iowa, it's 2 PM in Wakanda.

Thanos will be defeated and I don't think it will be as simple as resetting the snap. I think they will reset the snap but it fractures the universe or the multiverse and causes irrevocable damage to the MCU. Feige has said nothing will be the same after Endgame and things would be dramatically changed going forward. I think you're just being negative

Well if the Avengers start messing with time then the damage to Thanos could be reversed and the damage to the gauntlet along with it. Or early in the movie they go to kill Thanos, do so because he's weakened and once they start messing around with time, a different, stronger, no longer weakened, Thanos comes and that's who they fight.

Not sure if this has been discussed anywhere on this board but I wonder what the deal is with the emphasis on the color red when flashing back. It was done in the first trailer as well.

There's a 7 hour time difference between Iowa and Cairo.
Daylight in both Wakanda and Iowa is doable.

Cairo is on Arabic Standard time, which is one hour ahead of most of Africa.
