For whatever reason, B&B still resonates with me even 30 years later. The whole time watching that trailer, all I could think of was how fricking stupid it looked....and how I can't wait to see it.

I remember when Beavis and Butthead first came on MTV, and parents lost their ever fricking mind over it.
I tried to do a rewatch of the show over covid but they took all the music out. Watched Do america though and still funny.

My dad recorded almost all of the episodes on VHS back in the 90s when they would have marathons on MTV and I really wish I could find the tapes and move them over to digital for the very reason of capturing all the music videos and commercials

The show was blamed for the death of two-year-old Jessica Matthews in Moraine, Ohio, in October 1993. The girl's five-year-old brother, Austin Messner, set fire to his mother's mobile home with a cigarette lighter, killing the two-year-old.[21] The mother later claimed that her son watched an episode in which the characters said "fire was fun".[21] However, the neighbors stated that the family did not even have cable television and would thus be unable to view the show.[22][23]
As a result, all references to fire were removed from subsequent airings and prompted the show to a later time slot.[24] The creators found a censorship loophole and took delight in sometimes making Beavis scream things that sounded very similar to his previous "Fire! Fire!" (such as "Fryer! Fryer!" when he and Butt-Head are working the late shift at Burger World) and also having him almost say the forbidden word (such as one time when he sang "Liar, liar, pants on..." and pausing before "fire"). There was also a music video where a man runs on fire in slow motion ("California" by Wax). Beavis is hypnotized by it and can barely say "fire".

I hope new movie has a lot of fire. Screw censors.

Definitely not the same without the videos.

No commercials, but find the torrent for the B&B King Turd collection and you'll get the videos as they originally ran.

Never thought B&B was funny.
Let the downvotes rain.

i'll probably watch tonight with the family gone, but the clip about white male privilege has made the rounds and makes me laugh every time.
it's like they said here's the ridiculousness of all your claims played out. the black girl interrupting the white girl and then getting interrupted and mansplained by the white guy was top notch.
confession: i was a very well behaved baptist boy and didn't have cable growing up, but loved watching beavis and butthead and southpark at friends' houses. the only time i ever lied to my parents was when one of my friends wanted to watch B&BDA and we figured out Men in Black was playing at the same time, so we lied to our parents and got dropped off to see MiB but went to B&B to my everdying shame. good times.

Are the 2011 episodes on paramount plus too or just the original ?

Watched this last night, and I was definitely right.
It was completely fricking stupid. And I completely fricking loved it.
It's not laugh-out-loud funny outside of a few moments, but I just sat there chuckling and giggling for 90 straight minutes. It was so much better than I even thought it would be.

The white privilege scene had me laughing so hard my stomach hurt.
Not quite as good as Do America, but it was hilarious.
